William Perry (born December 16, 1962) in Aiken, South Carolina) is a former professional American football player professional football player.

He is best known for his years as a defensive lineman for the Chicago Bears. In reference to his large size, he was popularly known as The Refrigerator or, abbreviated, The Fridge.

Former Chicago Bears defensive lineman William "The Refrigerator" Perry began his football career with a famous gap-tooth grin. Then he spent two decades avoiding the dental chair, eventually losing half his teeth.

The four-month restoration process included inserting implants and
opening spaces in his gums.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Kolinski, St. Charles, IL.

After months of intense work, he got a winning smile.

I got tired of my mouth hurting all the time, Perry said after completing the procedure at Sunrise Dental under the care of dentists Vesna Sutter and Timothy Driscoll.

The Fridge has more to smile about

When you think of William Refrigerator Perry, you think of his considerable girth, the touchdown he scored in the Super Bowl and all those holes in his smile.

The former Chicago Bears lineman, 45, has dealt with dental pain for some time, so he relented and made his first visit to the dentist in 20 years.

Back then [dental work] was rough, rough, Perry told the Chicago Sun-Times. Now its so updated and modern.

Perry, who was already missing nearly half his teeth, had a full mouth reconstruction. The remaining teeth were removed and replaced with dental implants that are capped.

Its not as if Fridges dental problems slowed his caloric intake, but its nice that he's happy with his new chompers.

Its wonderful, he said. They look great and Ilove them.
